I like this shot because the infrared light reflects off the Eastern Cottontail's eyes, and shows how they are positioned on the side of its head. Giving it a 360° field of view. 

Another critter with eyes on the sides of its head is the Timberdoodle.


Dancing, peenting, and twittering away, trying to find a date.

We know that the rabbits breed in our yard, as we see the young. Woodcock are much more secretive. It is not clear if the birds in our yards are residents or migrants just passing through.

Resident or visitor, we're glad they are here.
