FOY Warbler

And speaking of warblers, I spotted the first one in the yard this year, a Pine Warbler.

This species breeds in our area, and migrates only to the southeastern United States. Thus it is one of the earliest of the warblers to return to our area.

It is also the only warbler which regularly eats seeds (most are insectivores). Which helps explain how it can survive on its breeding grounds in the late winter and early spring.
