Camouflage

Saturday was a yard work day. Specifically, lawn mowing day. Thankfully, due to our War on Lawn, it is getting easier and easier.

After stowing the lawnmower I retreated to the Back Pond Bench to relax a bit.

I quickly spotted one of the Painted Turtles and a Northern Water Snake. After sitting quietly for a bit the second Painted Turtle showed itself.

And then I noticed this in the grass at my feet.

A Southern Leopard Frog.

Right there (go ahead and bigafy).

I moved in for a closer shot. Realizing its cover was blown, it quickly hopped away.

The aforementioned bench.

Not to be confused with the bench in the Bench Garden. Yep, we have a two bench yard.
