Rose-breasted Grosbeaks

It is the male that has the eponymous rose breast, and it's the one that gets noticed.

While the female is more cryptic colored, as befits a bird which needs to remain unseen while sitting on the eggs.

If it wasn't for the also eponymous gross (as in large) beak, one might think they were different species.

Good thing they don't get confused
