Season Two ...

... of the Warbler Show continues. This time with a special guest star.

We had a number of days in the 90s Fahrenheit in late July and early August. As noted in The Warbler Show post, the Prothonotary Warblers were taking advantage of the bird baths in our feeder garden.

And on this day a Worm-eating Warbler made an guest appearance (it had been showing up on prior days, but this was the first I was able to get any pictures!)

Seen here in the upper right, eyeing the bird bath.

In this episode it never used the bath.

Rather it enjoyed leaf bathing, rubbing against the wet leaves.

The leaves are wet as we have a mister set up in the tree. The birds really seem to enjoy it on these hot summer days. Like kids running through a sprinkler.

A good bird any time, but especially nice from the air-conditioned comfort of one's living room!

This upcoming week promises to be another hot one, so stay tuned ...
