This is one view from the desk in my home office.
Of our fish pond, which is covered with ice.
On top of which is a pool of rainwater.
And in that rainwater is a Dark-eyed Junco taking a bath.
As per my weather station, it is 32.9° F out there today.
This was the only bird I saw taking advantage of the impromptu bird bath.
I wonder why?
