Those Darn Cats

We continue to have what are apparently feral cats wander into our yard on a regular basis.

We are not pleased.

This is the most recent visitor, a cat we've seen several times and have taken to calling "the Orange Cat".

The cheeky thing had the nerve to just stroll right up on the deck, while I was sitting at my desk this past Saturday.

Note the diagonal line in from of the railing on the left of the image, slanting downward (bigafy if needed). That's Max's leash. Max was not happy. He was at the end of his leash growling when I went out to chase the Orange Cat away.

One of the problems with these cats is that we do let Max, and Alistair (when it's warm), outside. albeit in a controlled fashion. And we do not want them interacting with these feral cats, which may have fleas, ticks, and diseases, possibly even rabies.

For these reasons, as well as the toll feral cats take on wildlife, we do not want these cats in our yard. And if they really are feral, it can't be a good life for them, which is rather sad.
