Oppies

Another critter that has been visiting the dead deer on a regular basis has been Virginia Opossums.

And in this image there are three. Can you find them (be sure to bigafy)?


One obvious, center left. A second, its face visible on the left edge of the picture, in front of the carcass. The third behind the deer, only its tail visible.


There are two in this image, one on the right of the frame, the other on the right end of the carcass.

I knew these creatures were omnivores. And in that same email exchange I wrote about in the Red Tail post, I noted that most predators would likely be opportunistic scavengers. And I suppose the same goes for omnivores.

And speaking of predators ...


... while we were off watching the last NFL game of the season, the Fox was once again visiting our yard.

That new trail cam can't arrive a moment too soon.
