Piney Wood Photo Safari Part I - Little Things

Mostly mushrooms as it turns out.

This past Saturday a Facebook Group I'm a member of, Bog Iron Outdoors, had a photo outing at the Franklin Parker Preserve. And there have been quite a few very nice photos posted as a result.

Here is my contribution to that effort.

Enjoy!

As noted in this post, mushrooms are notoriously difficult to identify to species. And that's if  you're an expert. I can ID them to Kingdom, Fungi.

I just take pictures ...

... lots of pictures ...

... of mushrooms.

With the occasional lichen now and them.

Which are of course part fungi.

Like this Trumpet Lichen.

Back to mushrooms.

A fungi, but not a mushroom. I'm not picky. And it is serving as a flower pot for what appears to be a moss of some type. A twofer!

Back to the shrooms ...

British Soldier Lichen.

Another fungi flower pot.

And Reindeer, or is it False Reindeer, Lichen.

It was a fun outing not the least because of the fellow photographers. As one person said, "I'm so happy that there are other people who do crazy things like me!" as we got down on the ground to shoot these little things.

Part II can be found here.

Thanks for the photos, from a fellow Piney and blogger (https://docsez.net/) but a man utterly use4less with a camera.

Keep up the good work.
