I spotted this Luna Moth Caterpillar walking from my car to the house one day.
A late stage instar looking for a place to pupate and turn into a moth.
It is a long distance from the gardens at the side of the house to the woods, in caterpillar lengths.
And this one was determined to make it across.
Although this rock proved a bit too big.
I can report it made it across safely.
