Bloom Time - Great St John's Wort

Great St John's Wort


Another yellow flower in the Hypericum family. Although while this is growing in the yard it is a bit of a cheat.


As this plant was given to us by our friend Bernie (the one who gives us the Trumpet Vine we keep killing.) No doubt that this one is still alive because we haven't tried to plant it yet.


And if you look closely you'll see I've been photobombed again. In the first image there is a Flower Fly and a caterpillar, which is also shown in the closeup just above. And in the caterpillar closeup you can also see an ant, just under the pistol.

It is very buggy in the yard these days.
