Fawn

It is migration time, time to get up early and go look for birds. And last weekend I joined Patty and a number of the so called Badass Birders of Burlington County.  (Patty is a member, I'm apparently not qualified).

Anyways, we went to Palmyra Cove Nature Park and saw quite a few nice birds.

And one deer.

This one.

I didn't feel like lugging a 'real' camera around, so all I had was my iPhone. Yep, that's how close it was.

Curious and cute, isn't it?

Alas, like everyone in New Jersey, there are way too many deer, and Palmyra Cove has pretty much lost its understory, and with it all the critters that would have called it home.

And that is sad.
