Orion the Hunter. Perhaps the most prominent constellation in the skies. This constellation has always meant winter to me. I first started star gazing as a boy and winter, despite the cold, was the best time as it got dark early, well before my bed time. And Orion was my companion on many of those cold dark nights.

Yes--the first sight of Orion in the fall usually coincides with the first nip of frost in the air. This is a stunning photo.
