This is the second snake I found out at the back pond. The first, a bit more skittish, having splashed into the pond as soon as I walked up. This one much calmer, not reacting to my presence at all.
And this might be the first one, with the second still curled up behind it. I had come back little while later, to see if the first might have returned. I snapped this shot and it again went splashing into the pond. The other snake just sitting there the whole time.
The rhythm of the seasons continues on.
