Morning Visitor

A Sharp-shinned Hawk has been visiting the yard of late. But it was somewhat photo-shy.

Hiding in trees and very active. Thus many blurry images. I'm surprised I was able to get the one above.

And then on Friday morning I spotted the bird just outside the kitchen window, on what we call the "little stump".  But before I could aim the camera it was up on the "triple stump". And then to the stick its seen perched on here, where I was finally able to get a few shots.

And then it hopped over to the garden fence, where is sat for a good five minutes!

Posing quite nicely, with the garden all to itself. And then it was off into the woods.

Bye bye.
