I had placed a piece of cardboard on our car park to cover and kill the weeds growing there. An ongoing battle, me versus the weeds (Patty wants to get a flame thrower!). And when I lifted it I found this gal. In a hole guarding her egg sack.
After taking the pictures I got distracted and by the time I returned to replace the cardboard she had taken her egg sack and moved away. Sorry.
And in an image that probably interests only me, by zooming in we can see colors diffracting off her hairs. Like little christmas lights.

I think it's cool.
