I've been doing frog surveys for a few years now, but while I can hear the frogs, often very loud assemblages thereof, I rarely see them. And I had never spotted a calling Pine Barrens Tree Frog.
As you know doubt surmised, that has changed.
A recent trip to the Franklin Parker Preserve led by my buddy Russell resulted in my hearing and seeing these colorful and loud ("quonk, quonk, quonk ...") little guys. Very cool.
