Adjust the brightness and contrast of your monitor so that you can view each of the 17 grayscale steps from black to white. Special attention should be given to the black end of the scale. The darkest step should be made as dark as possible while you are also able to distinguish it from the next lighter step.

Okay Mr Crab, now you've caught your skewer, what are you going to do with him?? Hmmm
Some days you win, some days you don't. Great shot! I can't imagine what the gull's innards must feel like with that crab inside there. Perhaps that is why they have a craw with gravel in it to help digest such as this.
What a catch, for both you and the bird! OUCH! :)
But.... you never said what variety of gull this is?
