... Scary time!
It's uncanny how they show up every year just about now.
In the More Mammals post I mentioned how we hadn't seen any Virginia Opossums of late.
They're back.
In the Live Music post I noted that the Raising River Band would be playing at Whitesbog this past Saturday. And as it was a fantastic day we went to see them.

* Now you may be thinking, Whitesbog is in Brendan Byrne State Forest. New Jersey state forests are alcohol free zones. And you would be correct. However, one can rent one of the houses in the Whitesbog Village. And the no booze rule does not apply to residents. And one such resident joined us. Making all legal.
Update: Apparently the above note is incorrect and I was misinformed. It seems that the residents must abide by the rules, and consumption of alcoholic beverages is only permitted in the privacy of their homes. Live and learn.
In the Barb's Hike post I noted her love of gardening. When she moved to an assisted living home, having lost the use of her legs (she had been making progress at the home for awhile, walking as many as seventy steps in the before times) she asked if we could watch after her plants.
Of course we said yes.
These plants:
I spotted these while planting Barb's plants.
It just keeps going and going ...
I don't know what the yellow dot is. A fungus of some sort perhaps?
