Oh Deer Part II

The trail cam documents the White-tailed Deer that visit when we're not around or asleep (or both). I document, and as noted in the Twilight post, chase away the deer when I am around and not asleep (Patty just chases them away).

I was working from home one Friday and spotted these two in the yard.

It seems that birds are not the only critters that like bird seed. Especially in winter when there are no yummy garden plants to munch on.

And it wasn't just these two.

This was a group of four. They spotted me in the window as started to move along.

But instead of going out to hurry them along I watched. And photographed. And this deer stopped under the crab-apple tree.

Hmmm, ...

... those crab-apples look yummy ...

... so it reared up ...

... and grabbed a few.

But it must have been too much work for too little reward, as it only tried the one time.

And then I went out and hurried them along.

But they would be back ...
