Emerald Eyes

A young double-crested cormorant at the Everglades, where, as you can no doubt gather from my posts, the wildlife is rather accessible. And if you go in the winter there's no mosquitos!

Close is close Steve but that smacks of Invasion of personal space to me, what a thrill for you to get that close, a wonderful study. Poor bird being scared by the big bad boogey steve. LOL

How beautiful Steve...the close up shot and all of those details are fantastic...especially against the shallow depth of field - what brilliant colors! A new favorite of mine!

What unusual eyes! Look like they are stitched on! Lovely green color. Was really unexpected on a bird so drab.
