Self Portrait, with Alligator

From my recent trip to the Everglades. Yes, the alligators are that close (I had to back up as I was using a long lens).

(As always, click on the image to bigafy it.)

Hi Steve,
Awesome shot! You look totally relaxed being that close to an alligator. I'm afraid I would be a bit nervous. Have a great day!

Crazy image. I don't know if I could have taken my eyes off the gator to look thru the viewfinder. Went to college at Univ. of Fla. and we used to feed the gator's at the lake behind the married housing apartments. Really fun.

Very original, and we can see what he has his eyes on.

Awesome idea and execution (pardon the pun!).

My goodness! What a shot! Wow! Hard way to get a self-portrait if you ask me Steve! Appreciate it, though. Nice capture, or was it? Think you'd have a long way to go to capture that bugger!

That is AWESOME Steve!!!! Was that planned or serendipitous?

@ Madelaine: Both. I've other images where if I look closely, I can just make out an some identifying characteristic of myself. So I am always looking for such a reflection.

But I did not take this image expecting to get such a good reflection of myself.

So, expected serendipity!
