Love how you can make out the green color of the spider. I also really like that parts of the web are in focus and others are just out of focus. Very pretty, for a spider. ;) Oh, and what in the world do you think he's captured there?

It's amazing how many colors spiders come in. This one appears fat and happy from a recent meal.
He/she is a pretty thing (for a spider!). You did a great job capturing both the spider and web with outstanding detail. And the web is positioned advantageously because you get the lateral view of the spider and see the detail of the web behind. Constructive criticism? My eye is distracted by whatever is caught in the web and I wish it were in focus. But, if bringing it into focus would have come at the price of losing the background bokeh or the clear focus on the spider, it wouldn't have been worth it. All in all, I keep coming back to have another look and am taken by the whole thing, so I'm not sure how valid that comment is. ;-)
Wow, the detail of the spider and web are wonderful.
Incredible photo. I love the color of the spider and you've captured the web detail very well. The light bounces off of it very nicely.
I've tried to get shots of spider webs too. My point and shoot simply does not do them justice. But this is great. This spider is beautiful. If he/she has already tended to his/her catch, we couldn't recognize it anyway because it would be covered with a nice bundle of webs, sorta like a mummy. So, it is okay with me if the catch is off to the side. Great find and shot.
Creepy little thing, but beautiful! Great composition and perfect details. Not easy to get a good picture of the web.
That background really glows! My thoughts on some constructive criticism - I too am a bit distracted by the bright fuzzy to the left, but a bit at a loss on how to get away from it. I'm trying to visualize it cropped out and I think that might work - I don't miss the rest of the web that would be lost. Perhaps cropping through part of it and photoshopping the rest out. In any event, it's a super capture of that creepy critter.
